She has competed through Third Level and trained horses through Grand Prix. She won numerous awards early in her competitive dressage career, but competition took a back seat to education and training interests. Jamee is fortunate to have a Bachelor of Science degree from Iowa State University and a Master of Science degree from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Both of her degrees are in the field of animal science and have greatly influenced her horsemanship skills. Jamee's first horse was an Appaloosa gelding that she was able to train thru Prix St. Georges. He even schools a few steps of piaffe and passage and is currently enjoying life as an exhibition horse, proving that with correct training, dressage is for every horse, regardless of breed, age, or prior discipline. Jamee has been very fortunate to train with many great teachers of dressage, including USDF Gold Medalist Amy Gessner-Larson, Pan Am Games Medal winner Jan Ebeling and Felicitas von Nuemann-Cosel. She has been well schooled in the classical German Training method and believes firmly in progression through the training scale. In her training program, she focuses on dissolving the negative and emphasizing the positive. At home, she enjoys riding her own horses, teaching lessons, and serving as an ambassador for the sport of dressage. WESTERN Know a knowledgable Western trainer willing to travel?
